Vanikha Queens is four women, one shared kitchen table, and a lifetime of Malaysian cuisine. Meet Crispy Chovies — our small‑batch anchovy snack, cooked the way our grandmothers taught us, in vegetarian and non‑vegetarian.
Our story
We are four women who grew up in the humming warmth of Malaysian kitchens — where the day began with the sizzle of ikan bilis in a hot wok, and ended with the crackle of sambal against pandan‑wrapped rice.
Our childhoods were pieced together the same way our grandmothers built their meals: slowly, patiently, and with the certainty that food carried love, memory and belonging. We come from different families, different neighbourhoods, different corners of this beautiful country. But we share the same first flavour — the salty-sweet crunch of a spoonful of anchovies stolen from the frying pan.
Vanikha Queens is our way of keeping that promise. Every pouch of Crispy Chovies is cooked the way our mothers taught us, seasoned the way our grandmothers argued about, and packed with the kind of care you only give to things you are proud of.
Stay crunchy. Stay royal. — The house of Vanikha Queens

Ikan bilis goreng asli — the classic Malaysian anchovy crunch
Why we bother
We could tell you we're revolutionising snacks. We're not. We're just making a very good one, over and over, and refusing to cut corners when it would be quicker.
Made in kitchens we know by first name. Never more than we can hand-seal in a week.
Sourced from small fisheries along Pangkor Island. Traceable, seasonal, honest.
Chilli and curry leaves we've been buying from the same stall for six years.
Not an afterthought — a soy-based crisp built to rival the anchovy on crunch and depth.
No glazes, no sugar syrups. Just the fry, the sambal, and the pouch.
We ship the same week we cook. Peninsular Malaysia gets it in two days flat.
Words from the counter
“My grandmother made this exact sambal in Ipoh in 1974. I don't know how they did it, but I'm not questioning it — I'm ordering the boxes.”
“The vegetarian pouch shouldn't work this well. It works. It works.”
“I bought two for my mother. She hid both. That's a five-star review in this family.”
“Real ikan bilis, real curry leaves, real sambal. Nothing you'd find in a supermarket aisle.”

A quiet, occasional email. No spam, no marketing gymnastics — just batch drops, kitchen notes, and the odd recipe.
Say hello
We read every note. If it's about a bad batch — tell us. If it's about your grandmother's sambal — we especially want to hear.
